The dream of IqbaI, the work of the Quaid,
Runs tears every time it is revived,
The tireless servings, the perilous ventures,
That lead us here, safe, untethered.
Sir Syed with the base that set it all straight,
Broadened our mind, getting us to collate,
Questioning our knowledge, inducing what made,
Showing we achieve, when faith remain.
Hafeez Jalandhari, a poet, inspiration,
Sir Agha Khan laid a political foundation,
Rehmat Ali gave a pearl of a name,
To a country with something as big to claim.
Liaqat Ali Khan, the statesman, a lawyer,
Begum Rana, his wife, no modest of fire,
Fatima Jinnah, the mother of the nation,
Alongside her brother, a supportive quotation.
The sacrifice to get here knows no bounds,
The fathers, the forefathers, the thinking, profound,
What they gave us is worthless in turn,
Till bleed in green, we give in return.
